About Dr Mulekar
Dr Sanjeev V Mulekar MD is a member of
the Indian Association of Dermatologists and Indian Medical Association.
He is registered with the Indian Medical Council, Saudi Medical
Council and has GMC registration as Visiting Overseas Esteemed
Specialist.
Dr Mulekar was one of the pioneers of non-cultured autologous
melanocyte transplantation method for the treatment of vitiligo
/ leucoderma. He has delivered lectures and performed workshops
in Dubai, Libya, Yemen and Singapore and at National and International
conferences.
Dr. Mulekar has been treating vitiligo / leucoderma patients with
this surgical technique since 1996 and has performed more than
3000 procedures to date in India, Saudi Arabia and the United
Kingdom. He is actively involved in research and has published
more than 15 research papers in reputed international journals
such as Archives of Dermatology, Dermatological Surgery, Clinical
and Experimental Dermatology and International Journal of Dermatology.
He is also a Journal reviewer.

Dr. Mulekar is based at the National Centre of Vitiligo and Psoriasis
(also known as The Light Clinic) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As well
as offering treatment at Wimpole Aesthetic Centre in London and
Kubba Clinic in New Delhi, Dr Mulekar is a visiting dermatologist
at the Department of Dermatology, Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit,
USA.
Dr Mulekar studied at the Topiwala National Medical College, Mumbai,
India both as an undergraduate and postgraduate student and trained
at Uppsala University, Sweden, to perform non-cultured and cultured
melanocyte transplantation in 1995.
